Chris Holt has called Walkerville home for more than 25 years and is an auto worker and union member, former small business owner and two-term Windsor City Councillor who has spent his career working to make Windsor’s neighbourhoods better.

First elected in 2014, Chris built a record of turning residents’ concerns into action, from championing Vision Zero and safer streets to improving neighbourhood services and leading community-focused initiatives.

With deep experience in municipal government, urban design and community building, Chris is ready to bring his energy, experience and determination back to City Hall.

Chris Holt brings something to City Hall that cannot be learned overnight: experience, a proven record and a deep understanding of how to turn community concerns into real results.

Chris has called Walkerville home for more than 25 years. His children attended primary and secondary school in the neighbourhood. He has started businesses here, employed local residents and spent years investing his time and energy into the community he calls home. As an auto worker, former small business owner, community advocate and two-term City Councillor, Chris brings a perspective shaped by real-world experience.

First elected in 2014, Chris quickly established himself as a councillor who listens to residents and works to turn their concerns into action. When neighbours raised concerns about illegal dumping in Windsor's alleys, Chris brought the issue to City Hall, organized cleanups and helped develop the idea that eventually led to bulk item pickup becoming a city service in the 2017 budget.

Chris has also been a leading voice for safer streets. In 2019, he brought the concept of Vision Zero to Council, helping lay the foundation for Windsor's approach to traffic safety and the expansion of traffic-calming measures across the city. He has led Council committees, developed policy and worked directly with residents to make neighbourhoods cleaner, safer and more liveable.

But experience alone is not enough. Chris is passionate about cities, urban design and community building and has spent his adult life studying how communities grow and function. He understands the systems and processes of municipal government, but he also understands that good ideas only matter if someone is willing to do the work to make them happen.

Chris knows Windsor. He knows its neighbourhoods. He knows how City Hall works, and he knows how to get results.
